How to Use This Spreadsheet Tool
1. Make a Copy of the Spreadsheet
Before you begin, you'll need your own editable copy of the tool.
- Click the 'Copy Spreadsheet' button above or navigate directly to the spreadsheet link.
- When prompted, click 'Make a copy' to save it to your Google Drive.
- This ensures you have full editing permissions and your data remains private.
Note: You must be logged into a Google account to make a copy.
2. Get Your TradingView Watchlist Link
TradingView allows you to share your watchlists with a unique link.
- Open your TradingView account and navigate to the watchlist you wish to import.
- Click the 'Share' icon (usually a curved arrow or three dots) next to your watchlist name.
- Select 'Share public link' or 'Export' (if available) and copy the provided URL.
- Ensure the link is for a publicly viewable watchlist, even if you only share it with yourself temporarily.
Note: The watchlist must be public for the tool to access it. You can make it private again after importing.
3. Paste the Link into the Spreadsheet
- Open your copied spreadsheet.
- Locate the designated cell (usually highlighted or labeled 'Paste TradingView Watchlist Link Here').
- Paste your copied TradingView watchlist link into this cell.
- Press Enter. The spreadsheet will automatically fetch and populate the data.
4. Explore and Customize
- Once the data is loaded, you can sort, filter, and add your own notes.
- The spreadsheet is now yours to customize and integrate with your other financial tracking.
- Consider adding columns for your entry price, target price, or personal notes.
